Phil Freelon to Serve as Keynote for the AIA Multicultural Summit

The Many Voices of Architecture Summit will be held September 12-13 in New Orleans

Phil Freelon, Managing and Design Director of Perkins+Will’s North Carolina Practice and Design Team Member for the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC), will serve as a keynote speaker during this year’s AIA Multicultural Summit.

The summit, themed The Many Voices of Architecture, will be held September 12-13, in New Orleans. The Summit seeks to promote cultural change within the profession and its leadership through the celebration of successful architects from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Freelon’s keynote address will focus on the impact that cultural institutions have on society and how architecture plays a critical role in bridging the cultural divide.
