Seattle-based Hinthorne Mott Architects, one of Seattle's young, new design practices, has joined the pre-eminent interdisciplinary design firm Perkins+Will. The union strengthens and diversifies a nationally recognized portfolio in corporate, commercial, civic, higher education, health care and science and technology markets.
"We are all very excited about our two firms combining skills and resources to broaden our design portfolio" says Perkins+Will Managing Director Kay Kornovich. "Our values, skill sets and cultures align nicely to make a stronger office in the Pacific Northwest which will serve Seattle and the broader region."
Hinthorne Mott Architects will join the Seattle office to bring the local practice to 46 people. The entrepreneurial culture of both offices will combine talent and skills to pursue a broader portfolio of work.
“We are proud of what Hinthorne Mott has accomplished since our inception with the support and trust of our colleagues, clients, and friends, and we’re extremely enthusiastic about the opportunities ahead.” said Brad Hinthorne. “We believe that our strategic integration with Perkins+Will is a natural and compelling next step for both organizations,” added Erik Mott. “This union strengthens our collective capability to pursue a shared vision of design excellence across the region.”
