Perkins+Will has earned first place for university design and second place for overall design innovation in the 2017 Building Design + Construction (BD+C) Giants Report, published this month.
The firm also ranked third for healthcare design, fourth for office design, and fifth for sport facility design—up four spots from last year and up 16 spots since 2014, reflecting the firm’s rapid growth in the sports and recreation sector.
The annual BD+C Giants Report is based on overall design revenues by sector.
“We are honored to work with such a wide variety of clients across so many sectors around the world, and we are humbled by their trust in us to deliver great designs time and time again,” says Perkins+Will Chief Operating Officer Tyson Curcio. “To us, these rankings are not about revenue by the numbers; rather, they’re about our clients’ continued satisfaction with our work, and our ability to meet and even exceed their expectations.”
Recent and/or ongoing Perkins+Will projects in each of the five aforementioned sectors include Orchard Commons at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC; Watt Family Innovation Center at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina; Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford in Palo Alto, California; QBE Insurance Group in London, England; and the Baylor, Scott, and White Sports Therapy Research facility for the Dallas Cowboys at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
