David has three decades of experience in the programming, planning and design of athletic and recreation projects. His approach to design is robust, inclusive and process-driven. His greatest strength is his ability to quickly conceptualize design ideas while collaborating with clients, consultants and internal team members.

He has lectured and written articles and book chapters on a variety of topics for Athletic Business, National Intramural Recreational Sports Association and the Society for College and University Planners. He has presented on issues ranging from athletic and recreation sports master planning to design guidelines and trends to facilities renovation.

Relevant examples of David's successful approach to design include the new athletic and recreation complex at Coppin State University, the East Campus Athletic Village at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the renovations and additions to the historic Payne Whitney Gymnasium at Yale University and the recently completed recreation center for the University of Massachusetts.
