Jones joined the firm in 1985 after receiving a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology. While at the Georgia Institute of Technology, he attended the Ecole de Beaux Arts UPA 7 in Paris and the Architectural Association in London.

Jones serves as managing principal for our largest projects for international clients. His focus lies on health science centers and the development of social infrastructure in emerging markets. He has been a leader in our healthcare practice for many years and serves as the primary interface with our global partners in the Dar Group of companies. Internationally, he has led our efforts in the development of King Saud bin Abdul-aziz University for Health Sciences on three campuses in Saudi Arabia as well as multiple hospitals for the Saudi National Guard. Other clients include Hamad Medical City in Doha, King Hussein Hospital in Jordan and the Saudi Ministry of the Interior. His has worked with community hospitals and leading academic medical centers in the southeast including Emory University and the Medical University of South Carolina. His consensus building leadership style is particularly suited for meeting the needs of diverse client organizations and complex project delivery methodologies and for fostering necessary collaboration between the many disciplines which must work in an integrated manner in order to achieve success.

Jones is a native Atlantan and resides with his wife, Mary and three children. In addition to his work at Perkins+Will, he provides pro bono services for the Atlanta Union Mission, serves as a volunteer leader in the Boy Scouts of America and has participated in home building projects in Atlanta's Grant Park neighborhood sponsored by FCS Urban Ministries.
