From elite professionals to student athletes, North Texans will soon have a new destination for athletic training and sports medicine: a 300,000-square-foot sports performance, research, and wellness center adjacent to the Dallas Cowboys’ new world headquarters in Frisco. Now under construction, the project is a first-of-its kind collaboration between the Dallas Cowboys and Baylor Scott & White Health that is expected to serve up to 50,000 visitors annually.

The nine-story building will be an active showcase of health and wellness on the 91-acre “The Star in Frisco” campus. In addition to outpatient imaging, surgery, urgent care, medical office space, and a pharmacy, the facility will house a street-level Sports Performance Center that features an indoor/outdoor playing field, basketball court, and training, research, and rehabilitation areas. The project also includes an attached multi-story parking garage.

The design invokes a sense of strength, durability, and precision—attributes of both the athletes who will seek treatment at the Center and the sports physicians who will provide care there. The glass and metal building is designed to give patients clear views and easy access to the outdoors, as well as provide views to the activity within for the campus community.
