Tuesday, November 1
Perkins+Will’s New York office will host a session as part of the Fast Company Innovation Festival. Janice Barnes, Robin Guenther, Daniel Windsor, and Joo Ro will help facilitate a hands-on workshop that addresses how cities contend with climate change and issues of resilience. MORE+

Friday, November 4
Janice Barnes will be speaking at “Climate Active Design: Where Building Science Meets Climate Science,” help at The Collider in Asheville, North Carolina. This daylong symposium will provide an understanding of the latest climate and building science. MORE+

Wednesday, November 9
Dave Dimond and Russell Philstrom present at the AIA Minneapolis Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their presentation, ‘Demystifying Free-Address Seating Anxiety – Designing for Ultimate Collaboration,’ uses Perkins+Will’s new office in the Twin Cities region as an example in how to effectively design these types of unassigned seating spaces. Julie Michiels joins a panel of distinguished design professionals for MAS Context’s ‘Couplings’ series in Chicago, Illinois. Julie and the panel will share a project by another architect that they consider relevant to the practice of architecture today. MORE+

Thursday, November 10
Robin Guenther will present a keynote at the AIA Philadelphia’s 14th Annual Design on the Delaware Conference at NeoCon East in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Robin’s session will address what it means to design for health and environments in which humans thrive. MORE+

Rachel Casanova will speak at NeoCon East in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rachel will be speaking with the Center for Active Design on promoting health through workplace design, looking at the implementation of adjustable workstations. MORE+

Friday, November 11
Leigh Christy will speak at CityAge: Build the Future in Los Angeles, California. Leigh’s presentation will look at food as an urban infrastructure system, and how that relates to economic opportunity. MORE+

Sunday, November 13
Eve Edelstein, director of Perkins+Will's Human Experience Lab, will speak at the Healthcare Design Expo and Conference in Houston, Texas. Eve's talk will explore how neuroscience and physiological studies increasingly inform designers about the neural systems that interact with design elements. MORE+

Tuesday, November 15
Gerry Tierney will be moderating a panel at Automobility LA, in Los Angeles, California. The panel, which will explore our evolving notion of mobility, includes Jeff Tumlin of Nelson\Nygaard. MORE+

Janice Barnes joins The Trust for Public Land to participate in a panel discussion, ‘Why parks and green space will make Boston climate-smart,’ in Boston, Massachusetts. MORE+

Wednesday, November 16
Josh Moore will be speaking at Autodesk University’s AU2016 Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. Josh will explain, “Everyday Dynamo: Automating Simple Solutions That Bridge Workflow Gaps Within Revit.” MORE+

Kristen Hall is participating in a panel at the San Francisco Urban Film Fest in San Francisco, California. Her panel is entitled, ‘Urban Design in the Future – Incremental Change or Visionary Planning?’ follows a screening of ‘Another Way of Living – The Story of Reston, Virginia.’ MORE+

Gabrielle Bullock will speak at the AIA Pasadena and Foothill chapter’s program, ‘Workplace Culture / Diversity & Inclusion’ in Pasadena, California. Gabrielle will speak on the Bridging the Gap: Multi-Generational Workplace’ panel. MORE+

Steven Charlton will be part of the panel “Public-private partnerships: The Fast Track to Growth” as part of the MENA Annual Conference: People, Policies & Projects in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The panel will offer insights on various pertinent topics such as how lower oil prices and social media have changed the MENAT consumer and how public-private partnerships offer a fast track to economic growth and development in the region. Friday, November 18
John Slack will speak at Urban Land Institute (ULI) Building a Foundation program in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This real estate development education program is an engaging education course designed to introduce participants to the essential components of completing successful development project. MORE+

Phil Freelon will present a keynote speech during the ‘Chaos at the Museum’ conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The theme of the conference concerns re-envisioning exhibition design.MORE+

Saturday, November 19
Steve Turckes, Mark Jolicouer, and Aimee Eckmann will participate in the Illinois Association of School Boards’ 2016 Joint Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois. They will present ‘Master Planning: Effectively Leveraging Community Engagement.’ MORE+

Wednesday, November 30
Aaron Knorr will present ‘The Future is Now: Designing Our Cities for Autonomous Vehicles’ in Vancouver, British Columbia. Aaron will explore the urban implications for self-driving cars at the Tesla Vancouver showroom. MORE+
