BRAND AND DEVELOPING THE INTERIOR DESIGN STORY
Joan Blumenfeld, Keith Curtis, and Eileen Jones will demonstrate how to establish a brand strategy that represents a company’s vision, mission and goals. Through the lens of several projects (including Haworth Los Angeles, shown above), they’ll show how to integrate a client’s style and interior design to create a memorable and brand-consistent space for visitors and employees.

WEATHERING THE STORM: MENTAL HEALTH ASPECTS OF RESILIENT INTERIOR DESIGN
Drawing on their grant-based research, Jon Penndorf and David Cordell (both of the DC office) will demonstrate the potential for resilient design strategies to positively impact the mental health of building occupants by addressing several categories of stresses and stressors before, during and after crisis events.

2:30 – 3:30 p.m.
MAJOR REBRANDING CAN DRIVE A PARADIGM SHIFT: LAW FIRM DESIGN
Meet the new law firm and see what’s next for the industry: Ken Wilson and Haley Nelson will present the case study of Nixon Peabody’s D.C. office, the LEED-CI Platinum workplace that reimagined the typical law firm as part of a larger rebranding effort. The duo will review how the client approached downsizing, transparency, collaboration, alternative work environments, active design and more.
