Perkins+Will Earns No. 1 Spot for Transit Design in BD+C’s Giants 300 Report

Building Design + Construction (BD+C) has ranked Perkins+Will the No. 1 architecture firm for transit and transit-oriented development (TOD) in its 2016 “Giants 300 Report.” Up an impressive six spots from 2015, the first-place ranking is a testament to Perkins+Will’s rapid growth in the transit sector—everything from urban planning and design to station architecture to transit line guidelines.

Recent or ongoing projects include a site planning study as part of the Supplemental Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (EIR/EIS) for the F Street Station Alternative in Bakersfield, California—part of the highly anticipated California High Speed Rail system; Confederation Line Stations in Ottawa, Ontario; Riyadh Metro and Bus Rapid Transit Stations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Millennium Line Stations in Burnaby, BC; Canada Line Stations in Richmond, BC; HART Stations in Honolulu, Hawaii; and GO Transit Station Interior Design Guidelines in Toronto, Ontario.

The firm also recently completed Marine Gateway, a TOD encompassing over 800,000 square feet of mixed use development that’s integrated with Vancouver’s Canada Line transit corridor.
