The New York office of Perkins+Will received the Honor Award by the AIA Westchester Hudson Valley Chapter for the Regeneron Pharmaceuticals North Campus in Tarrytown, New York. The award was presented on October 28th as part of the 2015 annual awards program. The competition drew 54 entries.
The project, a 300,000 square foot campus expansion for one of the fastest-growing pharmaceutical research and development companies in the US, reinforces the scientific mission of the company while creating a dynamic identity of a 21st Century workplace. “We are thrilled that the Regeneron projects was recognized with this award” said Paul Eagle, managing director of the New York Office. “This project exemplifies the high design goals we espouse while supporting Regeneron – a company breaking new ground in discovery and giving back in the New York metropolitan area in myriad ways.”
This influential project – when publically announced - was cited by Governor Andrew Cuomo as an economic enhancement to the community, “Today's announcement further advances New York's reputation as a leader in the biotech industry. The expansion of Regeneron's headquarters and the addition of hundreds of new high-skill jobs is great news for Westchester County and great news for New York."
