Lean Black Belt
Principal, Health, Atlanta

As a former hospital Department Manager and Product Line Director, Bill brings an insider’s perspective to healthcare planning and strategy. He intimately understands the operational and functional requirements necessary to provide patient-focused care.

Bill worked to advance the Shepard Center for a period of 14 years. Initially, he led a team to create adaptive, groundbreaking technology to allow patients with disabilities to interact with their environment. He subsequently established 12 departments—the last of which was construction.

For the last 20 years, Bill has been an asset to Perkins&Will and the success of our healthcare projects. His background – which includes a doctorate in neurophysiology and government-funded research projects – allows Bill to contribute unique insights to the fiscal and clinical pressures impacting healthcare providers. He is passionate about designing adaptable, flexible space for inevitable change to create long-term solutions for clients.

The design creates a new steel truss spanning the abandoned concrete structure, reducing its impact on the original concrete frame.
