Kimberly Richter

IIDA, LEED Green Associate
Associate Principal, Branded Environments, Austin

Born in St. Louis, Kimberly has followed her passion for design throughout the United States and across the globe. Now setting down roots in Austin, Kimberly is reconnecting with her family’s central Texas legacy, which ties back to 1882 when her great, great grandparents launched Richter’s Bakery in San Antonio.

Her Master’s Degree in Architecture with an emphasis in Interior Architecture, and work in the entertainment industry for Ridley Scott and HBO following her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and New Media, shaped her foundational understanding of the way in which people experience space and narrative which feeds her diverse approach to developing brand experiences. Kimberly’s design philosophy centers around understanding a client’s vision and point of view, and finding new ways to translate it into spatial and emotive touchpoints that tell their unique story.

Currently, she spends her free time exploring Austin’s creative fitness and food offerings, or house hunting with her partner and her cat, Cheeto.

Volunteering as a member of the RECA Christmas Committee.

“It’s critical we have methods, find sources, identify questions, organize networks, and live lives that activate our imaginations and consistently test if experiences work.”
