Bellevue College, Campus Master Plan
Square Footage: 1.2 million gsf
This Campus Master Plan focuses on developing a long-term vision as Bellevue College celebrates its first 50 years and plans for the future. Community building and social equity along with sustainability and support of natural systems are important values to the college and consistent themes throughout the plan. For the first time in its history, the college is offering student housing and further expanding its recently established baccalaureate degree programs. Both initiatives require more services to support a new 24/7 community including dining, recreation, student services, and study spaces. This plan identifies facility needs and supports the projected 10-year enrollment and identifies further capacity allowing the college to expand by 50% or more in the future.
The plan focuses on strengthening college identity, leveraging neighborhood connections, and reinforcing campus community. In addition, extended views to the Cascade Mountains and local region will help ground campus users to place and serve as a reminder of opportunities beyond. The plan is flexible to support the evolving and innovating nature of higher education.
