St. Louis County selected Perkins+Will to design a “Deep Green” Renovation their Government Service Center. Located in downtown Duluth, the existing Government Service Center was an under-performing building where social services are delivered for county residents. Working with Perkins+Will, Saint Louis County has reinvented their project delivery process and long-term building performance into a pilot for future County buildings. St. Louis County’s leadership and vision for delivering value in public service is clearly manifested in their Government Service Center Renovation Project. They seek to ‘teach’ their citizens about the value of a sustainable future through significant reductions in non-renewable energy and water delivered by their renovated, flexible and healthy service center.
