The Atlanta Paper Company once made packaging for Coca-Cola from its warehouse on West Marietta Street. Today, the long, opaque industrial building has been transformed into a vibrant urban hub. Known as Westside Paper, it offers a variety of indoor and outdoor settings for socializing, dining, shopping, and work.

The development blends old and new. A series of strategic cuts into the existing structure make room for landscaped terraces and connections to a spur of the Atlanta Beltline. The office addition establishes continuity with the existing brick walls and steel window frames. Excavations have created a sunken plaza that serves as the development’s social heart and leads to an open-air venue occupying the former rear warehouse. Throughout, passive ventilation, daylighting, and water conservation strategies set Westside Paper up for its next century of life.

“One of the things we try to do with all our projects is to create quality outdoor space. Whether you’re an office tenant or you just happen to be grabbing something to eat, it’s a great space everyone can enjoy.”
