Let's make history.
After decades of working across sectors in Philadelphia and the surrounding area, we’ve officially arrived! From our new studio in Rittenhouse Square, we’re taking on projects from Center City and Central Pennsylvania to New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and beyond. We’re inspired by Philadelphia’s rich history as the “Cradle of Liberty” and its legacy of tolerance and activism—and we look forward to building on the city’s strong foundation of progress. Learn more about some of our recent work in the area and meet our team.

The design of this administrative and office space expansion was informed by rigorous shadowing and a unique research and engagement approach, led by hospital leadership, that put the needs of practitioners at the forefront.
Along with partner firm Nelson\Nygaard, we are committed to improving transit infrastructure in Philadelphia and surrounding major metro areas. Meet Michal Mrowiec and Clayton Lane, two new leaders in our transportation practice with a proven track record of solving complex mobility problems.

Our work enlivens neighborhoods, builds communities, energizes people, and respects our planet. In Philadelphia and the surrounding region, we have decades of experience working across sectors to create innovative spaces that raise the bar.

3600 Civic Center Boulevard is a 250,000 SF office and support services building occupying a site in the medical district adjoining the University of Pennsylvania. The building houses information technology, human resources and marketing staff for University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS), as well as a childcare facility for up to 170 children. The design addresses five primary goals established at the outset of the project: define a compelling ‘gateway’ to the medical district, create an active streetscape on Civic Center Boulevard, provide a collaborative, efficient workplace environment for UPHS staff, establish a supportive childcare facility within the building, and meet or exceed sustainability objectives for the project.
