We are pleased to share the promotions of leaders in our Toronto and Ottawa studios. Our firm’s Leadership Program recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, excellence in design, strategic thinking, and collaboration with project teams and clients.
Promotion to Senior Associate

Lana Shahin, ARIDO, NCIDQ, PMP, LEED Green Associate, WELL AP

Lana has a wide range of expertise and a versatile portfolio ranging from corporate, commercial, high-end residential, and hospitality interior projects. She is a confident, enthusiastic professional with remarkable communication skills and a clear, logical, and practical approach to problem solving.

Lana is a committed optimist whose positive attitude and enthusiasm drive her dedication to design excellence and project and team performance. Lana actively participates to create a valuable impact throughout the design and project management process.

Promotion to Senior Associate

Michael Blois, OAA, LEED AP BD+C

Michael focuses on crafted details and playful architectural solutions built to stand the test of time. Michael strongly believes in the value of a hands-on approach to design. His design process always includes model making and careful consideration of materiality and construction method. Michael appreciates that his work forms meaningful environments that connect people and enhance their culture, health, and well-being.

Promotion to Senior Associate

Martha del Junco, ARIDO, NCIDQ, LEED AP ID+C

Martha contributes methodical, aesthetically pleasing design solutions for multidisciplinary projects of various scales. She specializes in educational spaces and workplace, as well as sports and recreation facilities and libraries. Her experience and dedication to design excellence is apparent from initial visioning, user engagement processes, and space planning, through to construction documents, contract administration, furniture procurement, and specification of finishes.

Promotion to Associate Principal

Robert van Lin, OAA, MRAIC, LEED AP BD+C, Certified Passive House Designer

With sensibility and skill for finding creative solutions to complex design problems, Robert began his career working with Perkins&Will as a student. Now an architect managing the Corporate Interiors team in our Ottawa studio, he attributes his capacity to weigh and implement dynamic perspectives into his work to his robust background in construction administration.

Robert enjoys the fast-paced, personal nature of workplace strategy—his work requires a lens for detail and strong client relationships. Robert is passionate about teamwork and collaborating with clients to assist them in executing organizational changes with tailored design solutions.

Promotion to Associate Principal

Dan McTavish, OAA, MRAIC, LEED AP BD+C, Certified Passive House Designer

Dan brings a client-centric approach to every project and is excited by opportunities that exist to address complex challenges through design. He enjoys learning about what his clients do and being inspired by their work. From project start to finish, Dan encourages close team collaboration and client engagement to collectively synthesize goals for innovative spatial solutions. By striving to understand functional, cultural, historical, economic, and environmental layers that structure a project, Dan produces resilient and timeless architecture which inspires communities to form and come together in unexpected ways.

Promotion to Principal

Jon Loewen, OAA, MRAIC, LEED AP BD+C, Certified Passive House Designer

Jon is an enthusiastic collaborator dedicated to high-performance design. Driven by a commitment to tackling complex problems with creativity and elegance, he believes great design is a force which cultivates inspirational and inclusive communities. Jon’s award-winning design approach delivers creative vision and innovative solutions informed by a deep understanding of stakeholder and user priorities to maximize the potential of spaces for learning, collaboration, and well-being.
