MLK Day of Service: Reforesting Enchanted Hills Camp

Jane, Geeti, and Vida ready to plant some trees!

As part of our day of service honoring Martin Luther King, Jr., members of the San Francisco studio visited Enchanted Hills Camp to help plant trees.

For over 70 years, Enchanted Hills Camp and Retreat has provided blind and visually impaired visitors with unparalleled opportunity for outdoors recreation and skills development. In 2017, a devastating wildfire swept through the Napa Valley area, destroying the lower camp and over 700 trees.

In collaboration with RHAA Landscape Architects, our volunteers signed up to plant trees and shrubs to help reforest the landscape.

We have been working with the camp to rebuild with wood from the salvaged campground trees, including this new Bathhouse.
Tree planting is a team sport!
The ultimate goal is to replace all of the trees that were lost in the 2017 wildfires.
The team helped to plant 1,000 new trees!
