Andrew Hausmann

Associate Principal, Chicago

Andrew lives by the mantra: be curious, be fair, be patient. This curiosity took him on a path from his native New Jersey to New York where, after studying theatre in college, he tried his hand at set design. Realizing it was not his true calling, he decided to go back to school for architecture and focus on the human-centric design that transforms our everyday.

He believes that the best design is achieved when you can put aside preconceptions and really listen to your client’s vision, continuously collaborate and communicate, and step in as guidance is needed.

Andrew is passionate about successful design, focusing on details that improve the processes and address the pain points for his clients. “Design should be purpose-forward and provide improved function, in addition to alluring aesthetics, to truly serve the goals of the client.”
