Ryan Ramsey
Raised in Savannah, Georgia with a family where you’re either an engineer or an artist, Ryan developed early interests around mathematics and the performing arts. It was during a trip to New York that he discovered architecture—the perfect balance between these two passions.
During his undergrad, Ryan experienced an injury that took him through several hospitals. This unfortunate circumstance, however, was the beginning of his life-long passion for healthcare design. It introduced him to the important role design plays in creating a positive patient experience in a healing environment, and led him to study Architecture and Health for his Masters degree at Clemson University. Ryan has dedicated his career to distilling complex healthcare programming and planning challenges into simple and clear design solutions that promote physical and emotional well-being. Since moving to Seattle in 2014, Ryan has served as a standing committee member for the annual AIA Medical Design Forum.
When Ryan isn’t working, he can be found skiing, exploring the Washington coast, and growing lavender with his wife.
