Kate Nation
Kate’s belief that design enriches our experiences through meaningful connections—both in everyday doings and extraordinary happenings—drives her work as the firmwide cultural and civic knowledge manager. She is interested in cultivating and sharing information and concepts that enhance design projects. Drawing on her background in interior design and communication arts, Kate identifies and amplifies subject matter intersections to connect people to ideas and solutions that positively impact our built, natural, and social environments. By revealing the “why” and “how” of the creative process she connects clients to our cultural and civic practice’s critical perspective and response to 21st century design challenges.
Kate’s love of art and design extends to making—she balances her work at Perkins&Will with time spent in her ceramic studio creating sculptural objects and vessels.
