He specializes in creating large mixed-use developments, including retail, dining, and entertainment districts, as well as hotels, workplaces, and multifamily residential projects. Born and raised in Manchester, England, he moved to southern California in 2001.

With a passion for experience-driven design, James approaches projects from the ground up, ensuring that they serve as a catalyst for positive change while sensitively integrating with existing communities. He draws on decades of experience to guide clients through multi-faceted regulatory and stakeholder requirements, helping streamline approvals and optimize timelines.

James promotes a culture of design exploration as he forges connections with clients, team members, and stakeholders. As a mentor, he devotes time daily to one-on-one conversations to encourage emerging talent.
