Architectural Record has ranked Perkins&Will No. 2 on its list of Top 300 U.S. Architecture Firms for 2018. The ranking is a reflection of the firm’s steady growth over the last several years: Perkins&Will held the No.5 spot in 2014, the No. 4 spot in 2015, and the No. 3 spot in 2016 and 2017. The rankings are based on annual revenue.
Phil Harrison, Perkins&Will’s CEO, attributes the firm’s success to global diversification, research, leadership development, and technology integration. He specifically cites Perkins&Will’s recent merger with Denmark-based Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects; the firm’s focus on practical insights and intelligence via its in-house research labs; the firm’s highly popular annual Leadership Institute, an internal program that equips the firm’s next generation of leaders with skills for success; and Perkins&Will’s targeted investment in integrated technology.
“These success factors mutually reinforce each other, and together, they are defining Perkins&Will,” Harrison says. “The result is that the best clients in the world want to work with us.”
