To mark National Housing Day last week, Perkins&Will and our Joint Venture Partner, KPMB, have made a donation to Multifaith Housing Initiative (MHI). The impact of this donation will help support MHI in funding 30 units for Indigenous peoples in need of affordable housing.
MHI is funding 130 affordable units in the development overall, targeting those facing barriers to adequate housing, including veterans and Indigenous peoples, new immigrants and refugees, adults with cognitive disabilities, and women and children. MHI also seeks to form a tenant relations committee to support tenants, putting people and their well-being first.
LeBreton Library Flats is founded on key partnerships to make affordable housing goals attainable. We are inspired by the work MHI does in our community and honoured to be designing this project alongside inspirational talent.
