Andrew Brown

AIA, CDT, LEED AP BD+C
Associate Principal, Science and Technology, Houston

Hailing from the vibrant Texas Gulf Coast, Andrew has been influenced by community values of pragmatism, problem solving, and hands-on activities. Always fascinated with building and creating new things, by age 13 Andrew knew he wanted to be an architect for an opportunity to pair the science of measurement with radically creative ideation. This blended approach to design thinking has led him to play key roles in planning, programming, and design delivery of several million square feet of learning and research environments. Andrew’s personal approach and attention to detail fosters positive accord with design consultants, contractors, and clients.

Over the years, Andrew has enjoyed watching projects come to life and participating on design teams that have a special impact on the community. Many of his projects have shaped campuses and institutions around the region, and some have shaped life closer to home, like a hospital where his 4 children were born and universities where close family have studied. Regardless of the scale and complexity, Andrew infuses his passion for success to accomplish the task at hand.

Walking a client team from the early visioning process to a final, tangible product is always rewarding. The Center for Medical Education and Wellness topping out ceremony was a great celebration of this milestone achievement, and an exciting time to realize the future for this client.
“People don't buy what you do; they buy why you do it. And what you do simply proves what you believe.”

― Simon Sinek

In his free time, he loves spending time with his family outdoors; mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, you name it. Surf's up!
