Principal, London

As architecture practice lead and principal within our London studio, Andrew is committed to a design approach that is imaginative, purposeful, and rooted in human experience. For Andrew, architecture is not only about solving problems but about uncovering potential and creating environments that enrich the lives of those who use them.

He leads with the belief that every project carries the opportunity to do something meaningful. Whether guiding a city-scale masterplan or refining the smallest design detail, Andrew encourages teams to think boldly, act responsibly, and design with empathy and ambition.

He is passionate about fostering a studio culture that is collaborative, inquisitive, and open. Working closely with teams his leadership style seeks to create an environment where ideas are rigorously explored, cross-disciplinary collaboration thrives, and design solutions are shaped by the complex needs of people and the planet.

Andrew studied architecture at both Cambridge University and the Architectural Association, grounding his work in critical thinking and a deep understanding of how buildings are experienced. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a member of the UK Design Council. He also contributes to international design juries and regularly participates in conversations about the role of architecture in shaping a more sustainable and equitable future.

He believes that design is about finding clarity in complexity. It is a dialogue between people, place, and purpose that, when approached with care and creativity, can lead to outcomes that are both visionary and lasting.

At Perkins&Will, Andrew brings this philosophy into practice, guiding teams and clients alike in creating architecture that responds to today’s challenges while inspiring tomorrow’s opportunities.

Design is about finding clarity in complexity. It’s a conversation—between people, place, and purpose—that, when done well, has the power to shape something truly lasting.
