Christopher Garris

Chris designs distinguished buildings that are physically and emotionally accessible to everyone. In pursuit of solutions that encourage meaningful spatial experiences, he pushes boundaries, tests ideas, and emphasizes multiple perspectives. He attributes the ‘magic’ of architecture to collaboration, believing that young career designers create positive change by questioning design assumptions and challenging what we believe we know. With  work that exemplifies sense of place, Chris encourages people to interact with one another and the environment, exploring how both new and old stand together in contrast through a celebration of each place’s history, culture, and sustainable future.

Chris further indulges his love of place through travel.  His curious nature leads him to design immersive experience for himself, often hiring guides, reaching out to local architects, and encouraging community members to share their stories in an effort to uncover the nuances of each location he visits.
