Dave Sewell
Dave believes the best digital workflows are the ones you hardly notice—quietly making collaboration easier, decisions clearer, and outcomes stronger.
Starting out as a civil and structural engineering apprentice, Dave developed an appreciation for clarity and order in how buildings are made—seeing how structure and material work together to resolve complexity. That perspective shaped both how he views architecture, drawn to buildings where construction is clearly expressed, and how he approaches work. Early in his career, a small automation he introduced was quickly adopted by the wider team, reinforcing his belief that the most valuable digital interventions remove friction and give people time to focus on better work. This experience set him on a path toward digitisation and ultimately into leading digital practice in the London studio.
Now an Associate Principal, Dave connects client and project teams, championing practical innovation and streamlined delivery. He also leads a digital advisory offering, working directly with clients and project managers to shape information management strategies that support delivery, handover, and long-term building performance. His focus is on digital approaches that empower teams, unlock time for design thinking, and create lasting value well beyond project delivery.
For Dave, digital success is measured by how confidently people can use the information provided—resulting in better buildings and stronger places for the communities they serve.
