Growing up in the lush landscapes of El Salvador, Irene’s awareness of the relationship between people and their response to natural and built environments developed into a responsive approach to spatial energy, light, volume, and movement. An education in architecture grounds her holistic approach to interior design—supporting a process of discovery that focuses on engaging people and communities through experiences.

Irene brings an authentic element of warmth to her client relationships as well as her designs. Her collaborative approach emphasizes wellbeing in environments while supporting diverse work methods and lifestyles. By embracing bold solutions, her designs support innovation and dynamic growth for companies at all scales.

Driven by her interest in planning for people, Irene dedicates personal time to local professional and community organizations. She is acting chair for the Public Art Commission of Mecklenburg County and sits on the Board of Directors for the Arts & Science Council, Aldersgate Life Services and Generations at Shalom Park, and the Advisory Board of Truliant Federal Credit Union.
