With her love for travel, creativity and the sciences, Jessica found her calling in high school during a class trip to Spain. She then signed up for the only architectural drafting class available, and, with her teacher’s guidance, Jessica explored opportunities in architecture while experiencing firsthand the immense value of mentorship.

A respected leader in the higher education field, Jessica enhances learning experiences and outcomes across the rapidly evolving learning landscape. Her curiosity drives her to critically think through each project’s unique approach.

Known for her agility in operating within multiple practice areas, Jessica is regarded for her thorough understanding of the client and project context. Involved in planning, redevelopment and sustainability, she believes design must deliver impact, create value and transform lives.

The building promotes a culture of curiosity and healthy activity through the design of inspiring horizontal and vertical pathways, compelling destinations and transparency that expresses the remarkable work within.
Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, Athens, Ohio
The Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine is a transformational medical education building for Ohio University and for the nation. The 120,000 square foot facility provides a variety of highly flexible, high tech spaces for hands-on training and collaboration to support the new curriculum for the college. The design incorporates osteopathic principles to healthcare delivery, multi-disciplinary teams for learning and problem solving and integrate holistic care principles. The new home for HCOM will be the first educational building in the nation to be designed using WELL building standards.

Jessica’s core values of giving back extend to being a steward of the environment; she has worked with scientists in Belize to measure how global warming is deteriorating the coral reef system, and incorporates sustainability into all of her work.

At home, Jessica pairs her daughters’ birthdays with food, toy, and book drives. Jessica builds bridges between her Perkins&Will team members, local organizations, and project stakeholders to strengthen the architecture community. Her insatiable appetite to connect with others yields success within her teams, communities, and clients.
Western Michigan University Hilltop Village Master Plan
Western Michigan University Hilltop Village Master Plan, Kalamazoo, Michigan
This 70- acre master plan provides a short- and long-term roadmap to transform the University into the area's ‘the school of choice’. The goals include creating a destination, supporting student success, and strengthening connections to the city of Kalamazoo.
The Maurer Center, Bowling Green State University College of Business, Bowling Green, Ohio
The renovation of historic Hanna Hall, along with the juxtaposition of the modern addition, creates a new home for the College of Business. Vibrancy, transparency and innovation are achieved through a three story atrium that puts learning on display and connects to the outside business community.
