Lewis Allen

Lewis is a design consultant who helps brands shape meaningful customer experiences across every touchpoint, and he leads design teams with a clear, human-centered focus.

As Senior Director of Environments for Portland Design, which joined Perkins&Will in 2015 and operates out of our London studio, he encourages project teams to think broadly about value and to challenge traditional metrics that no longer measure what matters. He champions a broad and enduring view that unites financial, social, and environmental insights into a more holistic framework.

Lewis is particularly drawn to airport design due to the sector’s ever-evolving nature and diversity of cultures and change drivers, and he appreciates clients who embrace the opportunity to disrupt conventions and re-imagine travelers’ journeys. He evaluates success based on measurable value to passengers, concessionaires (particularly local businesses), brands, and employees, as well as awards from industry peers and positive feedback from travelers.
