Liquan brings a unique blend of creativity, sensitivity, and practicality to her role.

She grew up in a family that loved to explore. During her childhood summer vacations, her primary activities were taking family trips and discovering new worlds through books. She has enjoyed these pastimes to the present day, and her experiences have made her open to new adventures and respectful of cultural differences.

She chose to become an architect when she was young because she believed that every design is a delightful journey to the heart’s destination. But she didn’t stop at being an architect. She extended her journey and amplified her influence by working as a project manager, studio manager, and most recently as the Shanghai studio’s operations director.

She believes that people are the most valuable asset of any design firm. Her respect for people of many different countries and traditions helped unite a variety of cultures in our Shanghai studio and she is expanding that tradition in Singapore.

Found some interesting books in a lovely small bookstore in ancient city-Yangzhou.

“I recognize that the path to past success may not be the path to future success, as we are all dancing with uncertainty,” she says. “However, I believe this uncertainty is the beauty of our endeavor.”
