Marie Henson

EDAC, LEAN Black Belt, LEED AP ID+C
Health Practice Leader, Seattle

Born in Washington D.C. and the daughter of a history buff, Marie visited all eight Virginia presidents’ homes by the time she was ten. This exposure to architecture and design, combined with her interest in painting and creating, led her to an early and easy decision to declare her architectural career path before leaving elementary school.

She has since dedicated her career to healthcare spaces and seeks to skillfully and imaginatively resolve very complex issues. Marie has presented her work at the Healthcare Design Conference, the WSSHE Conference, the Architecture for Health Panel and has written articles for Healthcare Design Magazine and Contract Magazine. She values the healthcare design community and appreciates that we are all working toward a common goal of creating spaces that exceed expectations.

Marie is a big football and baseball fan and loves cheering her teams on with her husband, son, and daughter.

"Design is not just what it looks like, design is how it works."
