Steve King

Long before most kids even thought about careers, Steve knew he wanted to be an architect. A Cub Scouts floor plan assignment and countless hours with Lincoln Logs sparked his curiosity, laying the foundation for what would become a lifelong passion for design. Today, he’s not only an experienced project architect but also a builder at heart—both on and off the clock.

With more than four decades of experience, he brings deep expertise in collegiate and professional sports design. Steve’s work spans a full range, from stadiums and ice arenas to aquatic centers and campus recreation facilities. Steve thrives on the variety each project brings, believing that lessons learned in one space often inform innovation in another

Outside the studio, you will likely find him on a mountain bike trail or building something by hand at his cabin in the Rocky Mountains. Steve considers himself a dedicated, ‘do it yourself’ enthusiast, often taking on projects simply for the joy of making things.
