Pedra Preta VIP Lounge

São Paulo, Brazil
A Brazilian sanctuary of architecture, art, and design within Latin America’s largest airport

Located in Terminal 3 of São Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport, Pedra Preta VIP Lounge reimagines the airport lounge as a place of pause, discovery, and connection. Designed in collaboration with Estúdio Campana for Itaú, the 1,400-square-meter space welcomes Itaú Personnalité and Itaú Private clients with an experience shaped by architecture, art, gastronomy, and Brazilian culture.

Within the terminal’s monumental scale and constant movement, we created a distinct atmosphere of calm. A fluid sequence of spaces supports rest, work, conversation, dining, and well-being, turning waiting time into a more meaningful part of the journey.

Architecture, interiors, art, and design come together as a singular experience.

A collection curated by Instituto Itaú Cultural accompanies visitors through the lounge, with works by Roberto Burle Marx, Tomie Ohtake, Candido Portinari, Di Cavalcanti, Beatriz Milhazes, Vik Muniz, and Athos Bulcão. Integrated throughout the space, the collection brings moments of contemplation to an environment more often defined by urgency.

A sculptural wooden façade inspired by the winding path of the Juruá River creates a distinctive threshold between the airport terminal and the calm of Pedra Preta VIP Lounge.

Through our architectural and interior design, we transformed a high-intensity transit environment into a place of hospitality, cultural connection, and well-being. The result is a distinctly Brazilian experience—discreet, sensorial, and designed to make time slow down before the next journey begins.

Natural stone, wood, and custom-designed furniture establish a warm, tactile atmosphere that interprets Brazilian identity without resorting to visual clichés.
