Carving a New Culture in the East End

Schiff Hardin needed a space that would support a cultural transformation for their Washington, DC office. An imaging session to establish a common visual vocabulary revealed the stakeholders’ desire for a bright, dynamic space that would foster informal interaction and encourage client and community engagement. We emphasized natural materials with energetic patterns that would create an iconic, defining element of their new space.

The interlocking spaces of the reception and conference areas guide visitors and attorneys through the Conference Center that celebrates natural stone and responsibly-forested wood.
