Long & Foster, a leading real estate agency in the Mid-Atlantic region, challenged us to create an inviting space for their new office that lived up to their reputation of stability, strength, and integrity. Flexibility was also key, as the organization was consolidating three offices into one in this new location. Our focused plan helps them optimize their new space, allowing for both captivating views and increased efficiency. Our goal was to elevate the organization’s brand, showcase their values, and create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that underscores their position as trusted experts in the industry.
The majority of the workplace features unassigned hoteling offices, reducing the required square footage and accommodating the flexible schedules that real estate professionals often require. With a strong emphasis on collaboration and shared spaces to mingle, the design team created a central “Amenity Boulevard,” immediately visible upon exiting the elevator lobby and spanning the entire floor plate.
The design incorporates natural materials, high-end residential appliances, and bright lighting with decorative fixtures to create a welcoming ambiance. Additionally, we worked to ensure that Long & Foster’s culture and brand were communicated throughout the design, making the office feel like a part of the neighborhood, and serve as a showcase for new home-buyers.
