The Kenneth C. Griffin Surgical Tower was honored with both Project of the Year and Large Healthcare Project at the 2026 International Interior Design Association (IIDA) South Florida Bragg Awards.
Inspired by Nicklaus Children’s Hospital’s “Patient and Family First” vision, the project creates a highly supportive environment for children and their families through restorative spaces, intuitive wayfinding, access to daylight and nature, and sensory-conscious design strategies. The result is a healthcare environment that reduces stress, promotes healing, and enhances the patient and family experience.
Our firm was also recognized with the J.E.D.I. Firm Ambassador Award, which honors organizations that demonstrate a commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion through their culture, workforce, and community impact.
The Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Garden received an Honor Award in the 2026 ASLA Florida Design Awards Program. The 12,000-square-foot healing garden transformed a former vehicular drop-off area into a restorative outdoor environment for patients, families, and staff.
The design introduces shaded garden rooms, native and climate-adapted planting, public art, and water features that encourage relaxation, reflection, and connection to nature. The project also delivers measurable environmental benefits, significantly increasing planting diversity, canopy coverage, and habitat value across the site.
These awards reflect the power of thoughtful design to create spaces that support healing, foster well-being, and positively impact the communities that they serve.
