NEW ORLEANS—Contract magazine, in partnership with the Center for Health Design, today honored two of our recently completed projects with 2019 Healthcare Environment Awards.
Mayo Clinic’s Mangurian Building, a cancer and neurology care center in Jacksonville, Florida, and Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy & Research at The Star, a sports performance and healthcare complex in Frisco, Texas, earned the accolades for “innovative and interior design solutions that enhance the quality of healthcare delivery.”
The Mangurian Building won the award in the Ambulatory/Outpatient Care Facilities category. The Sports, Therapy & Research complex won Honorable Mention in the Health and Fitness Wellness Facilities category.
“Our goal is to partner with our clients to propel healthcare forward—to create care environments that support an expanded vision of health delivery,” says Robin Guenther, principal at Perkins&Will and leader of the firm’s health practice. “These awards demonstrate both the breadth of our practice and our focus on creating new typologies to meet our clients’ expanded health mission. We are grateful to Contract magazine, the Center for Health Design, and the jurors for this recognition.”
