We are thrilled to announce two promotions: Aimee Eckmann, FAIA, ALEP, LEED AP has been elevated to the role of firmwide practice leader for K-12 education, and Yvette Fevurly, Principal, to branded environments practice leader for our Chicago studio.
Aimee Eckmann
Aimee started her career at Perkins&Will in 1999 and has served as K-12 practice leader for our Chicago studio since 2017. She works closely with key school stakeholders – administrators, teachers, parents, students, and community members – and has brought her expertise in educational planning and design to schools from Chicago to Omaha, Mumbai to Shanghai.
“I’m excited to take on the added responsibilities,” she said. “The possibilities of education have always resonated with me. Schools are game changers for students and communities, and we must be creative and responsive with the communities we serve. I look forward to continuing to embrace designing sustainable, healthy environments to benefit future generations.” Eckmann succeeds her longtime partner and mentor, Steven Turckes, who will remain fully engaged with clients.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled for Aimee,” Turckes said. “Her approach to team-building and innovation and to developing deep client relationships is a strong combination for schools everywhere.”

“I’m excited to lead our talented team in creating brand experiences that reflect our clients’ personality and align with business objectives across the many market sectors here at Perkins&Will,” Fevurly said. “Together, we’ll create opportunities to attract, entice, and engage people in a way that feels personalized, leaving a lasting impact, and fostering deeper connections—because everything we experience is by design.”
Yvette succeeds longtime Branded Environments Principal Eileen Jones, who is retiring this year. “I am excited that Yvette will be leading the team in the Chicago studio. She fully embraces the power of brand as an expression of the built environment and its importance in satisfying our clients and their customers,” Jones said.
