For the 13th consecutive year, our studio is named one of Canada’s Greenest Employers. This designation recognizes employers that lead the country in creating a culture of environmental awareness in their organizations. By standing out through our consistent environmental leadership and exceptional sustainability initiatives, we are consequently attracting like-minded people to our studio.
For over 35 years, we have been a strong supporter of sustainable education and practices, with a deep-seated belief in environmental and social responsibility. Our body of work and leadership has proven to be a powerful catalyst in the growth of Canada’s green architecture movement, continuously allowing us to push the envelope to incorporate green practices into our design and execution.
Some highlights from our application include:
- We have 24 Certified Passive House Designers in Canada, the highest number of any design firm in North America.
- Our studio was the first multi-office company to commit to the 2030 Challenge, by which we have pledged that all projects will be designed to be carbon neutral by the year 2030.
- We now offer clients a Carbon Impact Statement for all projects located in Western Canada at no additional cost to help identify carbon reduction measures. Our aim is to help our clients get ahead of the curve in delivering sustainable buildings and spaces that meet or exceed progressively demanding energy codes, such as the BC Energy Step Code and City of Vancouver’s Zero Emissions Building policy, within their budget.
