David Collins

AIA, LEED AP
Principal, Health, Dallas

Over his career as a healthcare designer, David has often been humbled by the impact the look and feel of a facility can have on patient recovery and experience.

The greater mission of healthcare keeps him dedicated to the practice. After all, he believes that there is an art to designing hospitals, helping clients with diverse missions, and meeting their objectives of community service.  At the beginning of each project, David particularly enjoys sitting down with a client to imagine and be inspired about what the project could become after ribbon-cutting.

When he is not traveling the world with his wife, or out on the golf course, he spends time in his home studio sketching, designing, and being creative.

Why David Loves Design
“I’ve been in communities where the building we design literally changes the way that population is served. There’s some pride in that. It brings a comfort level to a community to know they’re going to be well taken care of.”
