Jim Johnson

Principal, Transportation, Dallas

Jim is as passionate about mentorship as he is design. Born and raised in Dallas, he was drawn to architecture as a way to apply his artistic lens to real-world problem solving. Through a successful career in healthcare architecture—including years serving as CEO, inspiring hundreds of employees—Jim grew the expertise and skills he now uses to shape high-performance teams and guide them through large, complex projects of all kinds. The knack he discovered for helping those around him find and elevate their skills has become an essential part of his daily work.

Not one to watch an opportunity sail by, Jim embodies his family’s “life’s too short—do cool stuff” mentality. The joy he finds in helping people sharpen their skills translates to his own pursuit of personal growth, and he spends his time outside of architecture learning everything from oil painting to guitar.
