Jon Penndorf is an Associate Principal and Director of Regenerative Design in our Washington, D.C. studio, leading the firm’s efforts to push beyond sustainability toward design that actively restores and enriches natural systems and promotes human well-being. Jon brings more than two decades of experience in various roles including senior project manager and sustainability leader, known for balancing complex programmatic needs with design excellence and the lenses of high-performance design, resilience, and health. His thought leadership has been featured at national platforms such as the AIA Conference on Architecture, Greenbuild, and CoreNet Global, where he speaks on the power of regenerative design to shape a more equitable, climate-positive future. Jon has also been featured in Metropolis, The Washington Post, and Work Design online on topics related to sustainability and climate adaptation.
