Mira Theisen

AIA, LEED AP, FITWEL Ambassador
Associate Principal, Sports, Recreation and Entertainment, Denver

Mira discovered her interest in architecture in the 5th grade, looking over blueprints and understanding what she was seeing captivated her. Growing up as a child of the 70’s, Mira watched the Brady Bunch every day after school. Mike Brady was her first impression of an architect, from the eccentrically high-toned house they lived in, to the lipstick shaped buildings he got to design, nothing was better… she was sold.

Now, Mira is a licensed architect, specializing in Sports and Recreation projects, specifically on higher education campuses and community recreation centers. Mira loves collaborating as part of a team—working with a project team that can produce something great makes the process exciting for her. Interacting with clients that are delighted by the finished project is how she knows the project was a success.

Mira is passionate about sustainable design, creating healthy living spaces, and optimizing systems performance. To deepen her expertise, she earned LEED AP and Fitwel certifications. Her goal is to see Net Zero Energy become the standard in architecture, ensuring that every new building contributes positively to our environment.
