Razan Alshadfan

LEED Green Associate, WELL AP
Associate Principal, Design Principal, Dallas

Razan grew up in Jordan, studied in Germany and Egypt, spent five years leading design projects in our former Dubai studio, and joined our Dallas team in 2020. Her work is as wide-ranging as her global experience, with projects spanning hospitality, high-end multifamily, workplace, healthcare, and affordable housing. She’s conducted risk-mapping research at a UNESCO World Heritage site, designed a five-star resort on the shores of Oman, and led our interiors team behind North Texas’s first affordable housing for LGBTQ+ seniors, to name a few.

Her experiences across cultures have shaped a design philosophy rooted in empathy and belonging. Razan approaches every project with curiosity about how people experience the world around them, seeking to create environments that feel authentic to their context and welcoming to those who use them. No matter the project type, her goal remains the same: to create places where people feel they belong.

Karam is an Arabic word for generosity and hospitality, and it's a value that has been woven into every aspect of my life. More than welcoming people, it reflects a deep-rooted commitment to caring for others and creating a genuine sense of belonging.

Bridging Perspectives

Razan’s global experiences continue to shape the way she leads and designs. Working across cultures has taught her to listen carefully, remain adaptable, and approach each project with curiosity rather than assumptions. Bilingual in Arabic and English, she thinks and works across languages and perspectives, helping bridge cultural differences and build understanding among clients and project teams.

fun fact

Razan has lived in Jordan, Germany, Egypt, Qatar, the UAE, and the United States. She’s also an avid traveler, and finding new places to explore with her husband, who shares this passion, is one of her favorite things to do.
