Rudy Santacroce

PE, CLSSBB, PMP, DSHS, LEED Green Associate
Principal, Planning and Strategies, Dallas

Rudy runs on curiosity. From childhood in South Florida to life now in Dallas, he has focused his mind on how things work: how individual components make systems, and how systems combine to define our day-to-day. With a background in systems engineering, architectural design, and organizational strategy and leadership, he turned this curiosity into silo-dismantling expertise. Rudy knows how to find the root cause of complex problems and how to guide a team to solve them. Whether on the client side—improving strategy and operations for academic medical systems—or with designers—advising international firms that specialize in healthcare facilities—Rudy has built a career guiding the most astute clients toward a more efficient, innovative future.

Rudy’s work to improve the built environment isn’t his only calling. He has long worn a second professional hat: serving the country. Rudy recently retired at the rank of colonel after 30 years as an Army engineer officer in both reserve and active capacities.

“Nothing happens by accident, so life’s not about just showing up, it’s about bringing positive energy and our best selves to the table each and every day. Together we are better.”
Leadership and Legacy

Rudy’s last military deployment took him to the remote island of Timor-Leste deep in the South Pacific.

There he led a task force focused on bi-lateral training in Soldier skills with Timor’s military and critical medical care in field environments. These efforts helped build a strong foundation of trust and respect between both countries.

fun fact
Rudy likes to slow life down with time in nature. Find him on a difficult hike to a hidden waterfall, or kayaking to a deep, clear spring.
