Shauna Bryce

LEED AP
Associate Principal, Vancouver

For Shauna, an interest in cities, creating change, and providing “people places” evolved into a passion for architecture and urban design as a young adult. She is passionate about projects that celebrate communities and cultures, both living and historical.

Experienced at working with private, non-profit, municipal, and First Nations clients, she thrives on collaborating with diverse teams, cherishing the rich tapestry of ideas they bring. She is adept at leading diverse stakeholders—including those new to the design and construction world—through the discovery and decision-making phase of the design as well as the municipal approvals processes. Shauna believes successful projects are best realized through an integrated design process of co-creation with their community.

Diverse Community Building

Passionate about creating vibrant and livable places in our urban neighborhoods, Shauna fervently champions projects that honor and enrich the diversity of our communities. Her portfolio includes some of Perkins&Will’s most multifaceted civic, cultural, and residential projects.

Vancouver Art Gallery
Taking meaningful steps towards reconciliation, the new gallery building will reflect a traditional Indigenous worldview rarely seen at this scale by bringing Coast Salish art and knowledge to the forefront of the design.
Herzog & de Meuron
Ashley Mar Co-op Redevelopment
In a truly collaborative venture, Shauna helped our client navigate the design process through co-creation with the existing Ashley Mar Cooperative's board. Deep understanding of city processes along with the client's hopes for the redevelopment ensured that the site's potential was realized without sacrificing the spirit of the existing community.
"I believe we all need purpose in our work. For me, that purpose comes from helping our clients contribute to our communities and tackle our generation’s challenges. As architects, we have the unique ability to bring joy to people while tackling the tough problems that our society faces."
