Burlingame Venture Capital Firm

Burlingame, California
An adaptable social work environment

Our client asked us to create a warm and inviting communal environment that seamlessly blends authentic materials and craftsmanship with modern elements. This office serves as a communal hub for them, fostering connections and interactions among its users and supports a flexible work style with a variety of spaces visitors to choose from.

Meandering through the hallways of the client’s Burlingame office brings about a sense of hospitality, minimal and thoughtful aesthetic and a highly textural, warm palette. Functionally, the office transforms from workplace to intimate social spaces with the help of a professional chef’s kitchen, moveable glass walls surrounding the boardroom and accentuated connection to the patio for sunset views of San Francisco.

A full professional chef's kitchen allows for private dinner parties.
Custom Elements

As you enter the client’s Terrace Level space, you’re immediately met with a unique, sculptural wood slat wall embodying the company’s steady growth over time. A harmonious amalgamation of authentic materials and contemporary elements yields an ambiance characterized by warmth and enduring sophistication, emblematic of the client’s profound regard for aesthetics and craftsmanship. We worked alongside Commercial Casework and designed the undulating wood panels to imbed their growth chart. The shop drawing review process was very collaborative as the team took into account existing conditions, adding logo signage and alignment with window mullions. Overall the final installation made for a beautiful and welcoming backdrop with a hidden story.

A variety of work options are available throughout the space.
The uniquely-shaped conference room table comfortably fits up to seven people.
Moveable glass walls surrounding the boardroom can be fully open or closed as needed.
Indoor/outdoor connections are optimized throughout the space.
