University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business Connie and Kevin Chou Hall
Chou Hall is devoted to student learning, collaboration, and interaction. Its bold terracotta design complements the historic Haas buildings while providing modern, state-of-the-art facilities.
To accommodate future advancements in business education, special attention was given to the creation of diverse settings. Think “classroom” and “digital learning” working together to foster community and to provide a world-class education. It’s all set in one of UC’s greenest academic buildings. LEED Platinum—the highest sustainably ranking—and TRUE Zero-Waste certifications have already been awarded and it’s on its way to a WELL designation.
The interior is expansive and increases Haas’s overall space by a third thanks to the new courtyard-oriented café and terraces, twelve classrooms, twenty-eight breakout rooms for study and collaboration, and a three hundred-person event space on the top floor with views of the San Francisco Bay.
LEED Platinum certification, WELL Silver certification, and TRUE Zero Waste certification at the highest possible level make this one of the greenest academic buildings in the country.

The event space serves as the hub of public activities where the community can network and hear new ideas from faculty, alumni, and other top business leaders and thinkers.
